Welcome to Our Honeybee family where our motto is ‘Home away from Home’. We are a small, intimate setting where each child is valued as an individual and encouraged to develop to their full potential. We believe that if children love coming to school and if a love for learning is nourished the sky is the limit. Each child is unique and has a special talent, it is simply a matter of identifying it. Honeybee has been in existence for over 30 years, we have loving, professional staff ready to care for your child’s needs.

Activities

OUR BUSY HONEYBEE WEEK

The children are entertained and stimulated so as to allow them to develop to their full potential. Everyday includes a morning language ring during which the theme is discussed as well as a gross motor ring. Creative activities are completed on a daily basis to develop their fine motor and perceptual skill. We aim for our Honeybee kids to love learning and coming to school…our honeybee week runs as follows:
Mondays – Baker Baker (Each child will have a turn to bring cake/cupcakes to ‘sell’ to their class. This allows each child the role of leader as well as to help the children understand that we pay money to receive goods(the money is provided by Honeybee).
Tuesday – Show and Tell(Each child brings an item from home that is theme related and discusses it during morning ring)
Wednesday – Library
Thursday – Music with Ed
Friday – Baking…Their favourite!!!!!

EXTRA-MURAL ACTIVITIES

The following additional activities are available and are charged over and above the school fees.

	Stimuzone Computer Classes are held every Wednesday morning during school hours.
	Ballet classes are held every Monday afternoon.
	Movement to Music is offered every Monday morning. Children from 18 months old may attend. This activity embraces drama and music and aids in gross motor development.
	Action Ball takes place every Tuesday afternoon. Using simple apparatus such as balls, beanbags, hoops and rubber rings, Action Ball develops cognitive, social, emotional and concentration skills as well as basic motor abilities. (Children from 2 years old may participate.)
	Drum Connection takes place on Tuesday morning.
